It is a landmark achievement in improving our lives. Announced in 2005, Google Maps has become one of the most used services from the company, one without which over a billion users cannot imagine their daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.indianexpress.com\/2020\/02\/1-6.jpg\" alt=\"Google Maps, Google Maps new icon, Google Maps redesign, Google Maps update, Google Maps new app, Google Maps app update\" class=\"wp-image-6254590\" width=\"427\" height=\"237\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Jen Fritzpatrick, SVP Google Maps who has been with the company more than 20 years says &#8220;It has come a long way since 2005&#8221;. She recounts how in 2005 one of the core features they worked on was adding a print button to Google Maps.
